How To Save Money On Item Upgrading

World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

The upgrade of an item lets players increase the gear rating of an item up to 700 points and add a final bonus. Items can be upgraded by keeping them in inventory and heading to the kiln.

Certain items can be upgraded to increase their stats (like an ideally made breakpoint armour that can be rolled to use in melee PvP) while other items, such as weapons don't change much post upgrade and thus aren't worth upgrading.

Weapons

Upgrades to weapons can increase their numerical stats, like attack damage, crit chance, and PvE/PvP damage. They also have an unchanging bonus that increases their damage per second. In addition some weapons come with a set bonus that activates when three or more of the same weapon are present on a single unit. In some instances, this bonus can add up to more than the amount of damage a weapon can sustain by itself.

The cost of upgrading a weapon is based on the quality of the weapon and its current level. For  upgrade item , a +2 weapon will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while a +3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade a weapon will increase until it needs an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point it will reset to one.

The upgrade of weapons can also change their base stats. While this is usually beneficial, it can have some negative consequences as well. Upgrades can make items impossible to use, unless you are extremely lucky.

Armor items can also be upgraded to improve their stats. This can increase the base defense of a helm or chest while belts and gloves will increase their required strength and agility. Armor has a rerolling feature for its Enhanced Defense percent. This means that it can sometimes roll down to a lower value.

The upgrade template of a weapon will show the new stats that it will gain when upgrading, as well as the relative value of those stats. This means that a weapon will gain 3% attack damage if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. The 3% does not mean that the weapon will strike three times less, since it is an absolute number.

A weapon can also be rerolled by pressing the green button that has circling arrows in the item menu. The item will be rerolled and change its stats, however, it will not reset the weapon's level nor bind to account status.

Armor

A few upgrades to your armor can make a huge difference to your survivability. Certain sets offer massive boosts to poison or curse, fire or magic resistance, which makes traversing tough areas a breeze. In general, the more defense you have for your character, the greater health you can gain from each point. Therefore, it is recommended to upgrade your armor.

To upgrade your armor, go to one of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four in total, and each requires you to complete a specific side quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. Once you've completed the main quest, and the corresponding fountains, you'll be able to talk to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the armor upgrade menu.

The amount of materials needed to upgrade each piece of armor will differ. In general, you're looking at anything from three to ten Red Chuchu jellies and 10 Rupees for the first upgrade, and anywhere between five Rubies and ten Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent upgrade. The Champion Leathers, for instance can be upgraded to a 5 defense rating, which will allow you to remain competitive in frigid environments with a large number of foes. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other hand, can be upgraded to +20 defense so that you're able to survive a battle with your comrades.

You can't upgrade your armor like weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior then you should concentrate on upgrading your armor to increase physical power or the power of spells. You should also save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor you'll still be wearing by the end of the story, like the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you wear in the final boss fight the Monter Parts Merchant Mask.

You can also get some benefits to your armor by presenting the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. Generally speaking, you'll want to keep these upgrades for the weapon you'll be using to win the game, like the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer, but it can be beneficial to have a few upgrades of the helmets and chest armor that allow you to stealth around some monsters.

Potions

Potions are bottled substances that, if consumed, give the user a temporary status effect. There are five kinds of potions, each with different effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded to increase their effectiveness. Alternatively the effects of some potions can be enhanced by adding glowstone dust or redstone to them.

Upgrades to your potion require a specific amount of XP. This can be obtained by crafting them on a table or by placing them in the Alchemist chest. The price of upgrades will vary based on the type of potion you want to upgrade, as well as on the item's Mark Level as well as its rarity.

To upgrade a potions simply right-click on it in your inventory. Select "Upgrade" from the menu. This will open a GUI that lets you select the potions that you wish to upgrade, and the amount of experience they will give you when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at once, and their XP will be added to the total XP you currently have.

Once a potion is upgraded, it won't degrade until you use it again or break the bottle it is stored in. You can also rename the potion by clicking on it in your inventory.

There were a few changes to potion mechanics in version 1.7.2. Splash potions, for example are now available with a time of that is 0:08 instead of 22.5 seconds displayed on the hover display of the item. The potion table is constructed from four Wood Planks, and two Glass. This allows it to be used by players in Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions aren't compatible with cauldrons, as is the case with Java Edition. Also, putting a potion on a full cauldron drains the liquid and refills the bottle.

Lastly, there are now lingering potions, which are made using splash and dragon breath potions. Redstone can also be added to lingering potions to enhance their effect. The table of potion ingredients has been rearranged to look more like the Java Edition. New potions have also been added such as the potion of leaping and decomposition.

Trinkets

A trinket is a tiny and cheap ornament or piece of jewelry. It can also refer to an object or ornament that serves a purpose, but isn't important, like a Thimble. In certain cultures, a trinket is used to symbolize affection or friendship, particularly between family members.

Trinkets can be upgraded by players in addition to weapons, armor, and potions. They can be upgraded by going to an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate currency. Trinkets unlike other items that can be upgraded can be swapped at will without losing stats.

The upgrade vendors are located in major cities and in the capital of each zone, as well as in some instances in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are offered with tokens, gold, or fragments from rare trinkets.

Upgrades are a less expensive alternative to buying a new trinket. It is possible to upgrade a player for as little as 12 tokens. The new trinket has the same base level as the old trinket however, it will also come with an additional bonus of 1% upgrade.

Trinkets can be upgraded when they're not needed, allowing a player to increase their power and value over time. They can be traded among players which makes them a good alternative to gold.

Players should upgrade their most important items first. This means that the most-important slot items for each class are upgraded first then their secondary gear and finally other pieces of equipment they won't be replacing anytime soon (such as an earring or a cloak). When deciding the items to upgrade, players should be aware of their class's preferred statistics. For example, if Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for tanks it is recommended that they upgrade their chest, helm shoulders, belt, and helm.

When they are no longer useful, trinkets can be upgraded to a higher level. The new trinket comes with an additional bonus of 1. However, a re-upgrade will cause the trinket to be destroyed until it is salvaged using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an alternative salvage tool that is higher-end. Upgrades to trinkets can be more expensive than other upgrades but still less expensive than buying an entirely new trinket.
